Xolani’s Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured addiction treatment with flexibility to remain engaged in work, family, and responsibilities.
You have responsibilities to keep. Care should work around them.
At Xolani, intensive outpatient treatment is built for adults who want real progress without unnecessary disruption. Our IOP is a focused program that helps clients build skills and apply recovery tools in real-world settings.
IOP may be a good fit when:
IOP provides a balance: meaningful clinical support alongside the flexibility needed to maintain daily life.
IOP integrates evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), delivered through a trauma-informed framework.
Care evolves as recovery progresses, with treatment plans adjusted to reflect stability, insight, and real-life demands.
IOP schedules vary based on individual needs, but typically include:
5-6 Days per week
3-6 Hours per day
Group therapy sessions several days per week
Regular individual therapy
Trauma-informed care is integrated throughout treatment
Medication management when appropriate
Ongoing guidance from a Recovery Navigator
IOP at Xolani is not designed as an endpoint. From the beginning, treatment is guided with continuity in mind. As clients complete IOP, they transition into the next appropriate phase of care with support and clarity.
Every client receives structured relapse-prevention support during the first 90 days following higher levels of care, the most vulnerable period in recovery. This includes ongoing connection, accountability, and guided planning to help protect progress and prevent drop-off.
IOP provides fewer hours per week than PHP and is often used as a step-down or for individuals who need flexibility with continued structure.
